Sustainability in Food & Agriculture

5:30 - 8:00 p.m.

The Dubuque Colleges Sustainability Coalition welcomes the community to attend its Climate Action Festival beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18 at the Loras Field House Lawn. This event is free and open to the public. In case of inclement weather, activities will move into the Loras Field House. 

 

5:30 – 7 p.m. Music, Food, and Vendor Fair - with Electric Vehicle Car Show!


6 p.m. Rainfall Simulator Demonstration by National Conservation Resource Service


7-8 p.m. Dr. Silvia Secchi, Professor of Geographical and Sustainability Sciences at University of Iowa leads a discussion of sustainable practices in agriculture and food systems in the Midwest. 

 

Free transportation from Trolleys of Dubuque will be available from the Clarke, Loras, and University of Dubuque campuses.

Pick up at UD Heritage Center—5:30 pm

Pick up at Clarke Atrium—5:40 pm

Drop off at Loras Fieldhouse—5:50 pm

Pick up at UD Heritage Center—6:05 pm

Pick up at Clarke Atrium—6:20 pm

Drop off at Loras Fieldhouse—6:35 pm


After Event - Pick up at Loras Fieldhouse--8:05 pm

Music will be provided by Kurt Kieffer, and food will be available for purchase from Happi Hibachi and Wayfarer Coffee Roasters
